5 Things To Chat About

5 things to chat about fashion baseball football boots shower head

I have so much in my head. So let’s chat about all of it!

Let’s start with the topic dominating my brain.

Baseball.

If you’re having a competition for the biggest Atlanta Braves fan in all of the land and the criteria is passion and love for the game (Two sentences into any Braves, or just baseball even, related article and I have tears in my eyes because I’m so damn emotional about the sport), then I would win, hands down.

But the Braves just ended their worst season in years. Don’t worry- I’m still watching all the playoff games and staying in the loop, but it’s weird to not see my guys battling it out. And it’s weird to not be planning what games I’ll attend and the outfits I’ll wear.

Football.

Kansas City Chiefs purse one of 5 thingsWhile we’re on the topic of sports, I’m surprisingly thinking about football as well. This is new for me. But my die-hard Chiefs fan mother (who started rooting for them way before the fun Swiftie phenomenon) has worn off on me. And to make this season even more exciting, Mom bought us tickets to see them play in December in Tennessee. So so excited! I got the news about our awesome seats while sitting in a work meeting. I immediately showed the text to my co-worker next to me and almost in unison we said “time to shop”. I love a co-worker who gets me. And you know I have to bring my fashion A-game. I’ve already purchased the purse (placed the order during that same meeting). But now I have to get the outfit, shoes, and jewelry. An NFL chic blog is already in the works for next month!

Hair and Skin.

Jolie shower head one of 5 thingsWe split our time between Georgia and Florida. And that time spent showering in Florida has completely changed the health of my hair and skin for the worst. Y’all. The chlorine. So I’ve been thinking a lot about this showerhead that’s been advertised to me. Have you seen this? Have you tried it? Have you tried something similar? It’s pricey, but the amount I’m spending in fancy hair products and skincare is quickly adding up. Maybe this is an investment I need to make?

Gifts.

I know we just switched the calendar over to October, but I’m already brainstorming gifts for my favorite people. But don’t come at me for being so early- Anthropologie already sent me an early bird link to their holiday decor. You’re killing me, Anthro! I can’t resist their felt ornaments for me and as gifts.

Last year I created “Erica’s favorite things” boxes filled with…my favorite things, of course. Think Oprah’s annual list, but more personally curated. I gave these to special women in my life, and they were a hit! How do I top that this year?

Boots.

It’s that time of year, and they are so in this year. I know boots are in every year, but I just get this vibe that they are going to be EVERYTHING this year. I’m a big booties gal, but shockingly, I don’t own a single pair of tall boots. So, clearly, I need some. Time to shart shopping. First and only stop, Anthropologie (shocker). Here’s some of my current faves:

Boots one of 5 things

I know these Frye boots are expensive, but man, these are damn near perfect as everyday casual boots. The color, the heel, the height. Perfection. While you’re there, look at the floral ones. OMG!

If you don’t have any tall boots, you have to start with a staple black pair and a staple brown pair. This black pair is such a good height and classic look. For brown, I had to go with this gorgeous textured pair

I said I was looking for tall boots, but can you even with these? I’m already dreaming of NYE outfits…even if I celebrate in my house. Haha! I need these!

I tried so hard to focus on tall boots, but my bootie love can’t be denied. And how can you blame me when you see these beauties

Whew—told you I had a lot on my mind! From baseball heartbreak to football fashion planning, chlorine-related beauty struggles to boot obsessions (and let’s not forget holiday gifting already knocking at the door)… this is the season of all the things.

Let me know what’s on your mind lately. What’s in your cart? What game are you counting down to? What’s your current hair crisis or fashion crush? I wanna hear it all.
