Erica Simpson has been teaching at the college level since 2003. She is an Associate Professor of Management & Marketing at Georgia Highlands College (GHC), holding a Master of Business Administration and a Master’s in Communication. She earned tenure at GHC in both 2013 and 2020 and has also served as an adjunct at Georgia Northwestern Technical College since 2010.

In 2024, Erica graduated with a 4.0 GPA from an MBA program majoring in Global Fashion Merchandising and Management. While pursuing this degree, she taught management courses at GHC and later accepted a full-time role with its School of Business and Professional Studies.

Erica has over 15 years of experience planning events—from weddings to nonprofit fundraisers. As director of the Rome Beer Festival from 2011 to 2018, she expanded the event dramatically, increasing offerings and boosting profits by 500%.

Her professional background also includes marketing and sales for Greenbrier Development’s luxury senior living community, The Spires at Berry College.

She is a seasoned public speaker on communication, interpersonal skills, and marketing, presenting to audiences from high school students to seasoned professionals.

A fashion enthusiast, Erica has styled clients for special events and runs a successful online fashion reselling business.
